This training series is intended for UPK Staff—Teachers, and Support Staff, as well as Special Education Providers (Special Education Teachers, Related Service Providers; OT, PT, Speech Pathologists). Child care providers and Others as appropriate are encouraged to attend as well.This Professional Development series is a joint presentation with the Capital District/ North Country RSE-TASC and the Capital District/North Country ECDC. Session 1 9/25/2018: Steps to Smoother Transitions - Session 1 will focus on building capacity to support smooth transitions throughout the school day and promote positive behavior.

Session 2 10/22/2018: Using a Classroom Schedule and Rules - Session 2 will focus on developing a routine for using a Classroom Schedule and rules to promote positive behavior.

Session 3 11/15/2018: Challenging Behvaior Part 1 - In session 3, participants will discuss common behaviors observed in a preschool classroom and increase knowledge of strategies to prevent the challenging behavior.

Session 4 12/4/2018: Challenging Behavior Part 2 - In session 4, participants will learn appropriate responses to challenging behaviors and identify the skill that the child needs to develop. Participation in Session 3 is required to attend Session 4.
